June Update!

Not much has changed since my last update. I've started playing Donkey Kong more frequently. With its combination of simplicity and difficulty, it's definitely one of the most enjoyable games I have played in a very long time. The gameplay and replay value are very high in my opinon. Modern gaming with its story lines and graphics give gamers a great experience much like a movie. However, replay value is very low more often than not.
I've been keeping track of my high score of the day since this past weekend:
6/13 81,500
6/14 70,100
After hearing from a lot of KLOVers, it seems that a good decent score to shoot for is 100,000+. I've read that the average person lasts less than a minute a game. People with no life and/or extreme skills get in the 500,000-800,000 range. The world record is 1,050,200. I don't plan on shooting for that of course, but I enjoy edging out my own score.

As for restorations, I had a little time over the weekend to pull out DK Jr. and start disassembling it for cleaning. I think it's a lot worse than I thought it was originally. The back of the sides are all torn up and will need bondo work. I'll need to build a new base. Sand and paint the cabinet. Clean the parts and the inside of the cabinet. Sand and repaint the coin door. Sand and repaint the coin acceptors. Actually, it will be the same amount of work as what I did for Donkey Kong. The only difference is that I won't have to buy any replacement parts, which is a good thing. I'll post some pictures as I progress.
That's it for now. I'm guessing my next update won't be until July based on my trend of one update a month. =)
