March Update!

Thursday, March 19, 2009 - - 0 Comments

Sorry for the lack of updates. I haven't had much time to work on any restorations during the past month.

Here is what I've been able to get done:

Donkey Kong:
- Cleaned the PCB
- Cleaned the cabinet
- Sanded and repainted the lower bezel board and applied new instruction sticker
- Started wire brush sanding the coin door
- Started rebuilding the wood base
- Bought primer and color-matched paint

Donkey Kong Junior:
- Got the monitor recapped and fixed the fold over (Thanks Dan!)
- Removed and disassembled the control panel for cleaning

---

In other news...I picked up a Widebody Mario Bros. cabinet for a mere $75! The working PCB board is worth that much by itself. I'll tell more about this in a later post. In short, it needs a new monitor and the coin mechs need to be reassembled. I've been able to pick up other missing parts in the past couple of weeks thanks to some helpful KLOVers (I'll give you guys credit on my next update on Mario Bros.).

Well, that's it for now. I'll try to update on all of this with some pictures soon.
